Who We Are

Esther Ehrlich photo

Esther Ehrlich, founder, believes in the power of stories. A trained oral historian, she worked for six years at the Regional Oral History Office (ROHO) at the University of California, Berkeley, one of the leading oral history programs in the country. Among her accomplishments there, she developed and conducted an oral history project on performance artists and dancers with disabilities, for which she received a grant from the National Endowment for the Arts. In January of 2007, Ehrlich left her job at the university to launch Story Lines.

A published writer and professional editor, Ehrlich is a member of both the Oral History Association and the Association of Personal Historians.
